We recently enjoyed an exciting excursion to Lake Keepit Sport & Recreation Camp during Small Schools Week.

The students had a fantastic time participating in fun activities, sports, games and making new friends with other small schools, all while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Lake Keepit.

The experience helped build confidence and created lasting memories for all involved.

Students had the special opportunity to help UNE staff release Bells turtles into the Macdonald River. They carefully carried the turtles and watched as they safely released to their natural home.

This hands-on experience taught the students about wildlife conservation and the importance of protecting local animals. It was an exciting and memorable activity for everyone involved.

NAIDOC Week was celebrated on the 4th of July! The children made rain sticks and spent time in the yarning circle, which are wonderful activities for students to learn about and connect with Indigenous culture and traditions. It was also very kind of the P&C to give the students NAIDOC shirts — a generous gift that helps build pride and understanding.
