Apsley Riverview Hostel Visit
Date: 28th July 2026
Time: 1:30pm - 2:30pm
On Tuesday afternoon, residents from Apsley Riverview will visit our school to chat with students, share old stories, and see the students showcase their work and give a tour of the school.
Thalgarrah Visit
Date: 5th August 2026
Time: All Day
The upcoming visit to Thalgarrah Environmental Education Centre will provide students with hands-on learning opportunities in a natural setting. The centre offers programs focused on environmental science, sustainability, and outdoor education, allowing students to engage with local ecosystems and develop a deeper understanding of conservation practices. This visit will enhance their learning experience through interactive activities and expert guidance from the centre’s educators.

Transition Day

Students from Woolbrook Public School are eagerly preparing to attend the upcoming transition day at Walcha Central School. This event provides them with a valuable opportunity to familiarise themselves with the new school environment, meet teachers and fellow students, and gain confidence ahead of their move. The transition day is designed to support a smooth and positive start, helping Woolbrook students feel welcomed and ready for the next stage of their education.
Backtrack
Date: 1st & 15th September 2026
Backtrack’s Regular Visits Bring Reading and Friendship to Woolbrook Public School
Woolbrook Public School enjoys regular visits from Backtrack, an organisation renowned for its inspiring work with young people and their canine companions. Each visit sees the Backtrack team bring their friendly dogs to the school, creating opportunities for students to sit with the dogs and read together.
These sessions foster a warm and supportive environment, helping students build confidence and enthusiasm for reading. The presence of the dogs brings a sense of calm and companionship, making each reading experience enjoyable and memorable.
Backtrack’s ongoing partnership not only supports literacy skills but also promotes positive interactions and community spirit, making their visits a highlight for both students and staff at Woolbrook Public School.
